I am not sure how long a long tom gets but they sure breed them big over this way. They are a regular bycatch when you are flicking lures around and are quite amusing to watch as they come flying over in a dolphin like manner to check out your lures. They dont mind jumping once hooked either.

Ya think there big! You could hook them over there as long as you are! They become a pain when trolling because on occasions they snip your lures of as there teeth are sharp as, and have no dramas cutting mono leaders while trolling. nearly as bad as mac's while trolling for billies. They also rap there beak in the line and create there version of a bimini twist Interesting creatures tho

Hey Faulksy,
That is some very nice Long Toms that you got there.
I remember once getting one, (but a bit smaller that yours) on a chrome slice, from a boat, and first when the thing got hooked and started to jump all over the place, I got super excited thinking that I had hooked on a juvenile billfish... The two guys I was with got a good laugh out of it... But it is still a good memory.

Pech I can understand that mate they look like a little billfish when they take to the air.
Dingo the water is great when the wind dies off but goes to sh1t when its windy. I was out today with work and was very happy I was in a 12 mtr not my 4.8
