Its fricken huuuuge!

I wonder how many like this were taken back then and before when few people would take photos of them? And other fish. I wonder how many photos of frighteningly huge fish are sitting around in going faded and dusty in pples attic......one day the fisherman will pass away and relatives will throw the photo out not knowing how amazing it is.......

Its not a crisis unless there is blood around.

24kg on 6kg line

Post by buzzdog »

It's an old photo, but it's from the days when my family and I would travel up to Exmouth for a fishing holiday for 2-3 weeks at a time. Our target species were primarily big macks and billfish.
This fish went 24kg and was caught on 6kg stand up during the last hours of light on a skipped gar fish, good fight and I'm glad the sharks didn't come around to say hi either.

That's a big mack! Do you have a pic of it Seano? Were you going for macks or did it take the pilly intended for something else? Do they catch many macks around Stokes hill wharf?
