Fishing waders

Post by Matt Flynn »

For the trout fisho ... although might be of use on sandy flats, keep the stingers off.

Keen NT fishos might want to shop around for a kevlar set with inbuilt airbags, and matching motorcycle helmet - croc resistant.

I bought a pair years ago from Fly/Dry factory that were fantastic. Bit warm for up here thought.
I watched a bloke at Arthurs lake in Tassie who waded just that little bit too far out and the water overtopped the waders and filled up with 1C temp water. he unclipped and swam back to shore to dry off.

I've waded chest deep river pools in PVC waders and I could feel the heat leaving my body ... icy water keeps the fish fresh though.
