Ive been fishing out at buffalo creek at low tide catching only rats the biggest barra was 42cm but can't seem to get anything bigger! Does anyone know any good places good for catching good size barra! I've been told Dundee rocks but don't really know where to go or haven't got anyone to go with.. Is there good creeks or rivers I could flick a few lures off the bank and not be worried about any big lizards

Seanos probably right Liam.....I would put barra on hold till the build-up. There are lots of options...the ones that have been mentioned and others but you keep chasing them now you just burn energy and resources with moderate chance of success. Fish for pelagics and reefies now and in september go to a recognised hotspot (shady barrage, yellow waters, cahills crossing) find out when to fish them and you will get keepers. Keep in mind that where there are barra there are crocs. Dont avoid the crocs because then you are avoiding barra. Learn how to fish with them safely.
Cheers Mud
