Hi guys
I have the old man heading up to Lee Point Van park this week.
Any best times to try for a fish off the beach at Lee point. No doubt at High tide, but I am seeing only a few metres between the H/L. So will it be a waste of time ?
He has the overhead caster and should get at least 30-40 metres out with a sinker. With a rig like whiting fishing in the Southern States. I'm suggesting straight off the beach out from the car park, or should he have a look for some rocks at low tide to get his bearings. Getting some squid from the shop as bait.
Or just send him to Buffalo Creek where it will be safety in numbers.
There was a post from Feb where the guys did well at Lee Point.... but near what landmark?
Any tips are appreciated. (Any times that clash with Aussie rules telecasts are a waste of time)

try catching whiting and use them as livies . Forget using squid from the servo, if you want to use brought bait use pillys keep them frozen , before you bait up hold one in your hand until it is half thawed ,then bait it up- it will stay on your hook. Early morning spring tides are best ,but if you fish the neaps just fish dawn and dusk.
