baitcaster- I like them because the spool diameter is smaller and its closer to my eyes so when the fish grabs the lure and runs it seems to be more of thrill.

So Mud, you had the missus buy you that blingy eggbeater with the shiny handle because.......?
Shouldnt you be working?........
...or is this your job...going on forums randomly stiring people up just for..for laughs right? People like you make me sick!
(West arm Sunday?)
No - no stirring allowed in here
Sunday sounds good - but only if there is absolutely no wind forecast on Willy Weather - i'm over this cr.p about "wind moderating to 10 knots" from the last 2 weeks (which apparently means "winds moderationg FROM 10 knots"......where moderating actually means "starting at 10 knots and getting stronger as the day goes on")
So why the blingy eggbeater?????

Yep. Can't go past a baitcaster for reliability, style and casting accuracy. Spinning reels are good for girls, children and limp wristed zeros. I thought we had this sorted. *goes back to the crossword in the paper*
ha ha - even my missus- who I started with a girly threadline now would much rather use her curado!!-her wrists must have bulked up!

ill second that seano.
same with my missus. used to use an eggbeater. not any more - once she relised how much better a baitcaster is, and not hard to use. had to go buy her one as well (Baitcaster - Shimano Cenean). she also broke in the new set up - second cast on a nice barra.
