My 3 and 4 year old daughters are keen to come out for another boat ride in the new rig. With the massive tides this weekend I might go take them for a trip to corroboree. This will be their second trip so I'm keen just to show them some crocs, birds and buffs while dad gets a chance to tow some lures around. My last trip to corroboree was aboutr 12 months ago but we didnt see many big crocs at all.
I was wondering if anyone has spoted any big one out there this year. Appreciate a starting point to do some croc watching.

Balou when I was there a month or so ago the big black croc that used to be hanging around the three way intersection had moved further up the left channel. Theres still some decent ones out there.

Can see all three if you go to South Alligator.. Went last weekend and haven't seen so many Biiiig crocs for a long time...the stretch just downstream from Cahills was wall to wall on both banks and some absolute monsters among them..We were trolling and one 15'+ launched straight off the bank at us..the bow wave when he hit the water was easily 1m..Needless to say we turned the lures into poppers. Buffs and banteng on the high banks, and plenty of bird activity. graham.

Umm Graham I think you were probably fishing east alligator not south, and I'm not sure you woulda been seeing banteng from the banks of the east either.

We were out on the billabong on the weekend. Plenty of crocs there. One nice size 4m croc 150m from the boat ramp on the way to the main billabong. Another huge fat croc over 4.5m in the rock hole area. He was just past the rock hole trolling area on the way to the fence line on the left hand side. Plenty of small ones sitting on the bank. Not too many Whistling Ducks this year. A lot of Sea Eagles around. Only managed 3 nice Toga's for our effort in the rock hole area under the Pandanas Palms. Plenty of people casting into the lillies using frogs. The dirt road up to the cattle grat was good but after that to the ramp was in need of a grade.

Yes Scroopa - they probably were Banteng on the East.
As FishFanatic says the big black one around the three ways and around the corner is the biggest I've seen at Corroboree, he was there not long ago - monster.

Usually see one on the bank opposite the channel to the main billabong - he tends to hide in the trees a bit and sit with his mouth open. He's a big b*stard!

Quite a few bangtang in Arnhem land
my bad there Doug..Launched at Cahills..origional plan was for Sth..Did a big tour, ran into Luke79 @ cooinda, stopped in at 2mile,4mile and had a look at leaning tree. All the rivers looked like iced coffee on the move. Think I'll stick with the harbour and beyond, and th mighty Adelaide of course, but only in the run off. graham.

Go down to the Palm billabong entrance near Powertail island. you should see 20 big crocs all in a km stretch of water. The rock hole has some good ones as well.

I saw a lot of crocs down past the rock hole over the last long weekend. Smaller males were on logs out of the water. The bigger females don't like you spending too much time in their patch, I saw some raising their backs and going under water and blowing bubbles.
