me and a couple mates are planning to head out to kakadu for a camp at Maguk (Barramundi Gorge) any thing we need to know prior?

furthermore i was thinking of taking my fishing rod and having a fish, but me being a complete novice haven't a clue were to go or were fishing is and isn't allowed. i don't want any secret spots etc etc but any help in pointing me the direction of where fishing is allowed, and how to get there would be extremely appreciated :mrgreen:

Cahill's Crossing at the top of the tide has fished alright in the past.

caught a few under the bridge at Mardugal Billabong as well, throw your lure, (soft Plastic) at the pilon, let it sink and jig it back, caught a few nice fish there, watch out for Croc's...

Did alright years ago at the bridge on the far side of the park (Pine Creek side....is that the East Alligator??)near the pub. Very tight fishing back then. Was told that there was a big croc that hung around there when I got back to the bar. I only used black,yellow & red Nilsmasters back in those days.
