sounds like you guys still had a good days fishing.. I think first in best dressed.. its a bit of a wanker move to dive on someone who is already fishing a spot.

No worries Ben! Always plenty of action out there when you get some nice weather...
As CS said there's plenty or wrecks out there to dive/fish so if someone is on your preferred wreck either try another one or get up earlier and get there first! The blokes fishing the wreck have driven the same distance as the blokes diving so you cant tell me that the diver gets right of way. Saying this I've never had anyone try and dive under my boat before? I have however had other boats anchor right in the middle of a drift i've been fishing for an hour and have had other boats decide they should anchor literally 5 metres from where I am anchored. Maybe some people should spend a bit less cash on sounders and more time on learining how to use one..?

Fishing ettiquette has always been first in best dressed. I was on board when dive boat with smed and skipper when dive boat pulled up and .."sorry didn't mean to get so close" . Puts the dive flag up and its like now does he expect us to observe the exclusion zone?? Funny seeing bubbles rise from your baits. Wonder how a diver goes on a 7/0 and 30lb braid. Seems he manages the same mistake every week. Might need to invoke the old if you're within 4oz snapper lead range you're too close.

CS - You spelt Heron wrong! And you can divide your list by two to get the amount of sites (most sites are made up of one or two wrecks!) - seeing as thats what you claimed! haha! Anyway this is a fishing forum, which is why im on here and im just stirrin the pot. Just wanted to highlight the other side of the story.
Good post BJ, glad you got some fish and especially jiggin - that Marchart III has some big fish on it man, especially during the dry.
Oh and there is no exclusion. Check out COLREGS under the IMO - which applies to commercial vessels.
