Took off across to Dundee early Thursday morning for 2 days fishing. Launched after a small delay from a huge electrical storm out that way. Not much rain but dont really want to be waving around rods in that poop. Shot down to Finniss River for the first time ever, and after a bit of zig zagging to get inside the river we were good to go. Although the fish were not seeing it the same as me. There were also 2 guides in there and I know 1 of them caught a fish but there were lots of sad faces on the other boat. A 3rd boat also didnt have much luck. Tried green and gold bombers, GNR and various other classics, rapala x-raps for not a hit. As we didnt know the area at all we got out of there before it became a challenge on the lowering tide to get out we trolled the mouth and hooked up on this little beauty

We then took off out to Long Lost for also the first time and on the way I collected some bait. First ever Mac Tuna

However when we got out there we struggled to even bet a bite (probably due to the small tides).
The next day we decided to make the big run out to the Perons. About 3 quarters the way to Blaze Reef the ocean was alive. Tuna and Macs everywhere. I then nailed my first Spanish for the boat and new PB of 120cm. Caught her (full of roe) on red and white Rapala X-rap deep

There were plenty of big arches on the sounder that indicated that macs were about 7-9m down but after a few passes with 2 different kinds of knife jigs came up with zip so we decided to keep going to the Perons. Apart from getting cleaned up by one fish and losing the lot we struggled to lose a bait. Next time it will be big tides before we go back for the reefies that way. Pretty stoked about the Mac though
