Hey gents, chasing some info on channel point camping an peron island fishing. Is there fuel near channel point, or do you have to bring your own? Secondly I want to chase some quality reefies. Have a 5.7 tabs so have no qualms punching wide. Not after secret spots, just ball park areas.
Looking at heading out first weekend in nov so a lil bit of tidal movement. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey Nato...no fuel nearby...or shops etc. .I think the closest would be at Litchfeild..1 hr away. We usually take fuel in.
I dont think its necessary to go out wide...unless yoiu are chasing reds......the area between the perons right across to pt Jenny and Blaze fishes well for goldies...just look for rubble or patch of reef. Some bloke I spoke to out there says he fishes the area regularly and has found the most productive area to be between Sth Peron and...um that reef west of there...cant remember the name...good for macs. With a boat that big you might consider going across the bay to Ford..never been but heard some great stories.
Luck..let us know how you do

Hey NATO... Keep in mind tides when launching, you'll need about 3m to get in and out of the ramp. As for fishing spots there are afew areas between perons and cape ford, keep an eye on your sounder. Cape ford usually fishes really well this time of year, and the jewfish hole off the front of channel point is always worth a shot on the change of tide. Best of luck, let us know how you go

Litchfield rd is not flash from Berry Springs way but not as bad as it has been this year, we towed a 7m boat over it last week and it was ok. Channel point Rd is all good. If you go through from Berry Springs you can get fuel there before 7/8pm otherwise Noonamah is the last stop. Bachelor last stop if you go through Litchfield. Have fun out there

The Berry Springs unsealed section can be a dog, usually not worth the damage to trailer. Via Batchelor would be my choice though I would get fuel at Noonamah or somewhere closer to town. Quite a difference in price.

I saw three boat trailers go past this morning at around 6:30am. Thy were following seven road trains along the road. Would have been a slow trip for them.
