yea PP both can be used at same time but foot pedal doesnt operate spotlock or track record & how do you fish whilst operating the hand remote Id like to know ,I find it perfect to put my pedelstal seat up on the bow & use foot pedal while flicking then if you get to a spot where you want to stay for a bit just push the spotlock button on the remote around your neck. From memory the footpedal setup only cost 90 bucks from I & O.

Blinky, The new models have just arrived in Australia they are called the Minn Kota ipilot V2, they have the new remote and 3 extra spot lock and 3 extra tracks. You pretty much cant buy V1 anymore as they sold out all their old stock to allow for the V2 to come. Thats why I had to wait 3 months until they arrived. Yeah you can get them from from the states but I chose to wait to buy it here. Cheers, Wade

Isn't that motor and remote? I'm talking just the remote on it's own. BLA said the remotes only would'nt be available for a while yet. Found a place in the US that will send, just waiting on a price.

I put a 55lb Ipilot on my 4.9 stacer and its useless when the tide is running hard, I should have got the 80lb. It is awesome in still water though. I got to go out to mission hole on Lizzy Downs a few months ago and it was awesome for getting around in the weeds.

Just a question regarding buying the complete MK ipilot from the states, I wonder if there are any issues with the inbuilt gps possibly being programmed for the northern Hemisphere or Americas Region? I know this is a problem with Lowrances HDS units. Sure you can buy them for half the price, but they don't work here in Australia!
