Here are a couple of photo's which gives you an good idea of how much water is up the top of the South Aligator (2/1/2012).

We threw soft plastics around in Nourlangie in some pretty good clean running water but no takers. :fishing:

Found a lot of nice calmer back eddies but no fish. :cry:

They must be all on the flood plains having a good time.

hopefully get a bit more back up rain to keep it full until the monsoon really kicks in

looks pretty dirty water? get any colour change from the nourlangies? I fished the 3 bridges over the xmas break and it was PUMPING dark fresh water through. Ivebeen up to the forks at nourlangie in a boat when it was pumping that dark fresh water and you could see your lure the whole way through the cast. pretty cool stuff.

The colour changes are there but the fish aren't. Nourlangie feeders were pumping hard and the top end of Nourlangie was a bit more settled.
