hey happy new years everyone. hope everyone didnt get to maggoted and enjoyed there night. planning on taking the tinny out to the harbor for some reef and wreck fishing but im an absolute newby at harbor fishing so could anyone spare me a few tips on how to catch a few fish in the harbor. doesnt have to be reef fishing wouldnt mind some barra and salmon tips as well.............. thanks heapsssssssss

a couple of hours either side of a low tide under 2 mtrs go up the creek (Sadgroves) where you put in at Dinah beach & throw shallow lures or rubbers round the drains & its nice & sheltered there (take spray).Just east of that creek you have Reichardts & Bleesers so same goes with them,have you got Fishfinder book it marks all these & lots more ,good luck

thanks for the help guys ill go out tomorrow and see what happens, fish finder/ chartplotter wires are rusted to hell so its to late to go get new ones so looks like im going out blind so reef fishing is out of the question and they are shocking tides for harbor barra so finger crossed luck is on my side... and yeah i have a few pots and am pretty successful with them in east arm, but unfortunantly thats about all i am successful at when it comes to the sea haha

When in doubt you can always give the Larrakeyah Rock wall a drift or two, may be some queenies running around there.

Mate steveB has the right plan if your sounder is stuffed get near were it looks good and try a drift ,,but dont give up on the fist run ,I go at least 3 times over the same area and then move on,,,,,good luck ,,,keep your lead tight ,,,just bouncing
