Hey Shane and Lachie, good to see you got a few. Getting the hits on the plastics just hookup rate was shocking for us.
Hi Turtle, it seems we are far from being the first to put a lure out the back and catch fish but Dean gave it a name "strolling" so that now makes it a recognised technique.

On the Money Seano - that is what "strolling" stands for. Just one of Moz's "Fusion" fishing techniques. He is the master of combining the basics of bait fishing with the science of lure fishing - True Piscatorial Art.

Shayne,
that was not us that got hooked up. It was another couple of boats, the big white one and a dark blue one. We saw it all happen, bl..dy happy that the young fella only had the one hook in his hand and that they got it out ok. We were only about 3 boat lengths away when it happened, maybe that is why the rumour mill pointed to Moz and I - yes we had drunk enough for it to happen, but the beauty of "Strolling" is that you don't even need to cast (just let it run out the back with current) and therefore nearly impossible to hook anything apart from a fish "strolling" up current to the waiting trap!
I am trying to pressure Moz into writing an article on "Fusion" fishing. He has a pretty neat offshore technique - old livebaiters never die!

Yeah we saw the young fella get hooked too. He seemed alright though he was back out there the next day good on him. I'm keen to hear more about this fusion fishing though it seems you boys have it sussed.

About time others asked about Moz's 'Fusion' fishing. Is it jigging?? Is it wetting a bait?? Combine the two & you have (Doorsoff's naming rights again)............"FUSION FISHING". Moz is the master of baiting his jig hooks. Doorsoff thinks it creates confusion in the mind of the fish. Moz has the results on the board. The tackle shops are loving it. Bait & jigs in the same transaction. Cover all bases & join Moz's 'Fusion' fishing revolution. Post some 'Fusion' pics Moz. Nothing like seeing the "confused" expression of those captured via 'Fusion'.

oh god.... Smed- From bagging me out with my jigs to finally relenting the other day and tying one on. Sounds like you're converted. BTW tackle shops don't like me because I tie the jigs up myself and use less bait.. win-win. The goldies are confused only because they can't understand how something that looks so tasty can end so badly for them.
Back to the thread and ate some of the Daly barra last night and they are delicious. Absolutely no muddy flavour what so ever. They could be saltwater harbour baz.
