Hi all i was just talking to a few ppl and they told me about a spot on gunn point rd and was wondering if any one has been out that way fishing ?? if so where abouts.

I am going to go for a drive and have a look around out there abit.


any info would be greatly appreciated.

Are you talking about 'The Iron Bridge'? If so you can't miss it. Probably about 10 ks from the Howard Springs lights.

hi guys thx for the info but i think its a bit further out along a dirt rd.
the ocean meats the river from what i herd i am going out in 1 hour to have a look cheers for the info guys.

good luck mate im going out that way after i have lunch with the misses i went out that way yesterday and got some nice fish and some real good hook ups

awsome i just come from leaders creek its called i have herd lots about leaders creek but never new it was there lol.
well i will be heading out there on the weekend for some fishing and crabbing to see what we can get.

its been real dug by ppl travelling when it was wet so have to be careful hey, its cut off in some spots to one lane from the water but its not too bad if your not speeding down it. we are going to head down sunday morning for a few hours and see what we can get. been a few crabs apparently.

well went out to leaders at 11pm last night and didnt get back till 10 this morning lol. Went out in the thunder storm, stupid i know but hey.
Got to gunn point rd and hit the dirt track and almost died a dirty big cow ran out in front of me lol. got past that then hit the road was all cut up and turned to mush.
Took me an hour 75 mins to get to the ramp doing 50 km all the way. worst trip ever.
Got there and the outboard would not start (yay) took 25 mins to get it going. Got it going and went out looking around in the dark but did no good.
2.30 started heading to the mouth stuffed around on the way there for a bit got there at 3.30 sat in the mouth nothing 4.30 WACK had a hook out the back took me 25 mins and it was a 115cm JEWIE (YEH) 10 mins later Wack another hook up 15 mins later a flas of silver another jewie then snap gone lost him.
Came into a few black tip reefies then 5 salmon came onboard. good haul for the morning so decided to head home got 3 parts the way back to the ramp and motor starts playing up awsome lost 3/4 of the power sounds like the gears were slipping.
Great boat and motor 15 months old well got back home and now have to get the boat looked at.

Hope all had a great weekend like i did lol cheers cotto
