went out today with a bag of bait and a couple of rods, just looking for a bit of fun........... launched atDinah beach at 9:00 and headed for shell island.. only managed 10-15 batfish (all good fun but not what i was searching for) realized the fish finder was broken all to late and had to guess where wrecks where (turned out pretty bad just as you would expect) haha headed back at 2 and dropped bait at sadrgroves mouth whilst we were waiting to get picked up. a second before we were about to wind up i got ripped by a mother of a fish felt to quick to be a powertail so its a mystery what it could have been as it had some weight and snapped 30pound braid ( broke off way before the rig) all in all an incredibly unsuccessful day but its all fun and its all just another adventure/experience haha
how did everyone else go?

PS managed to catch about 4 lemonade cans at shell island haha

Better than sitting at home I always say :mrgreen:

Could have been a Jewie, or even a stonker salmon, I have caught a metre plus jewie there and seen heaps of big salmon caught around that deep hole there.. :drinking1:
