Went down the Adelaide today from the low to the high in the arvo. Went upstream. Good colour change in Last Cast and Beatrice. Caught nothing. Went right up to the fork on the flood plains of Beatrice. Plenty of Tarpon but no barra and even the Tarpon wouldn't touch a lure. The highlight of the day was a couple of beers with Kai. He confirmed that it was a waste of time fishing there until there was more rain.
So heads up people don't waste your time on the Adelaide until there has been more rain.

We hit the South and came back for a quick dip in the Adelaide also. The South had water pumping but no one we came across got a thing. About a dozen boat trailers in the park when we got back. Saw a few rats swim past but nothing boofing or looking like it was going to be a fishy day. Just really quiet. The South was dirty and the Adelaide looked the same.

Agreed norrs,
Went for a spin to see how the river was looking today for a few hours, on the water @ 06:30 first at the ramp and off by 09:00, at least another month and a couple of good rises before anything happens. Still, it was a nice cool morning and a nice way to kill a few hours.

Its all good going Warp 9, until you hit something, or someone! wouldn't like to be in his shoes if he did and he got charged!!!!!!!!!! Then again the court system in Darwin is a joke........... I suppose the real reason he has a fast boat is to stop crappy fishermen like me following him to all the good spots...
