Went back home to get married so thought I would try and catch a big Murry Cod in the Macquarie River, but as it turned out they have had heaps of rain and the river was up and very dirty, so lures were not really working so we got some big wood grubs out of some Casuarina trees and I managed to score this nice Silver Perch.... I fished this river for nearly 15 Years and have never seen or heard of one being caught here before, I was stoked, couple of pics and set him free, also landed a nice eel tail powertail. Was a great day with good memories... :fishing:

Nice fish, used to get a few out of the Broken and the Murray....we called 'em grunters as kids too.

Awesome Whomper, that's a fish we don't see too often. Amazing amount of rain seems to be around the East Coast on the satellite image right now.
