Cant tell where as i was taken under promise not to tell.....you know how it is when you take someone to your spot & tellem not to tell anyone ....
Sounders working out really well, been on a US Bass forum pickin thier brains about the settings , with a little help form here Im gettin it to chuck up some great pics now,
Cant believe the Sidescan pics really an eyeopener, & I can go & mark something out to the left or right of the boat with a GPS Spot, some of these I marked & they were 30 & 40 feet away from the boat !

Mate, those side scan pics are awesome. Even though my Garmin doesnt do that, it makes me now want to get out the manual and really use it to its full potential.

Good Cod anytime of the year, but great to get rewarded for putting in the time in cold old August.

Awsome post mate. Good photos, information and fish! never caught a cod bud inspired to do so now. Been given the offer from a lad down that way that gets heaps of them so might have to take them up on the offer.

If any of you guys are down this way in the Riverina, Ill take you for a fish ...hopfully a Cod.
Its cause Im a nice guy...that 7 I wanna fish NT again ......hint hint.
The Sidescan is brilliant , ive changed the colours a few times , the Humminbird lets you set one of about 5 or 6 different colours on the down/side scan , & it makes a difference, Ive alsio been mucking around a lot with sensativity & contrast/detail range controls on the Humminbird, mines an 898cxsi. I spent 2 days trolling around & tweaking the settings its getting better & better... now theyr spot on !
Yes you can see some "Fish" they are the white shapes, 7 the ones throwing shadows onto the botton with the sidescan, biger shadow bigger fish, some of the white ones are decent sizes too.
Im thinkin about upgrading to a bigger screen ....(I had a deprived childhood) want to go to an 1198
Im open to offers around $2100/$2000 for the 898 its only 12 months old. if anyones interested.
