G'day Chuckie, whats happening , its Ando mate.
no pic mate.
How did you get the reddies, Ice Jigs or trolling ??, Whre did you get onto them ??.
Curtis went to Mulwala on the weekend , but I got no phonecalls or texts , so I presume they got nothing....or nothing of size.
I was home doing landscpe things for the Mrs, winning a few brownie points.
Thinking about going up on Saturday night near the full moon trolling, any suppestions ??

Keen to see the pix - make sure they are under 1000 pixels wide or tall or they won't "attach"

Heya lads...having a little difficulty with this convo....what are
1/ Reddies?
2/ Ice Jigs?
3/ Mulwala?
Angry try taking the size down to 580 pixels wide then save as a Jpeg saved at medium compression (about 5). So long as its about normal height/width ratio that should work whether the pic is landscape or portrait
Cheers
Mud

Mud,
1/ Reddies are Redfin or English perch, freshwater fish dont grow real big but great eating & fight well for thier size.
2/ Ice Jigs are a small horizontal jig , deadly when used on schooling reddies in deep water.
3/ Mulwala is on NSW/Vic border great place for Cod, Murraty river here is situated in a drowned forest a weir on the river effectivley bakcs up the waters to flodd an old forest
I'll post some pics when I get this posting thing fixed

Ah Redfin Perch...fished for them a lot when I lived in NZ. Back then (dont ask how far back then) we used light tackle and small spinners - celtics and mepps - and on some days you might also pick up a trout or two. Great fish the Redfin - aggressive, good to eat. My mate Neddy's dad was english so Neddy used maggots (urghh). We would cycle 20k in the dark to a lake in the hills then light a small fire so our hands would work to untie the rods from the bike frame. Then as the light quickened in the sky the fish would come on the bite and we would catch 10 to 15 before the lake warmed up and put them down.......ahhh memories....

An old Batlow boy, you'd die if you came home form uop there where its warm...
Up under the Power lines is always a Fav, or down in about 40' water 500yds down from Log Creek ramp always a good spot.
One of the boys got a 7lb Reddie there I think last year.
Either small yabbies are a good go & the Ice Jigs always work, if you get to the bottom of the school past the small pickers !.
Chuckie lives out the edge of town, I live in Wagga, fish Blowering & Burinjuck quite a lot. Use either AC Invaders or Stuckeys.
