Caught this last week on our big trip to Ashmore (the QLD one) not sure what it is think maybe a chinaman??? Looked a bit crook so back it went! :mrgreen:

Will post a report for the trip once i finish resizing the pics.

Thats one crazy looking fish, dont know if I would want to eat it unless I knew what it was. Not a Chinaman fish but.

thats exactly why it went back Jason. wasnt convinced it was a chinaman though its head didnt look square enough but was the closest thing we thought it looked like. The dodgy fins made us sceptical though

Looks like a larger version of the stinky gold band snapper we were catching out at Marie Shoal last yr with the Codfather. High in iodine and real stinky. Will go back thru the posts to find out what it was called again.
