Though i saw a photo of one that tips that one off in a tackle shop in Cairns

, couldnt believe my eyes. Meter trout are as regular catch as meter barra here, apparently.

that is a bl..dy big trout, when i work on Hamilton island there were rumers of trouts that big off the GBR shelf.

if that bloke on the back isn't carefull he might end up as bait, :croc:

with a bouth that big.

I think we are being dupped. that looks like a groper coloured in using photo shop with a few dots added. maybe even a potato cod.

If its a photo shop job it amazes me people have the time to do that poop? Just like that giant pig on the back of the cruiser that did the rounds a while back :bonk:

but I have never seen a Trout with spots on its' fins before. Have heard of them well in excess of a meter tho (actually seen one at 112 cm) but it still had that longer leaner Trout shape, that looks like a Cod or a Groper.

Except that the pig pic was the real thing. Came from a station near Newman. :wink:

check out the blue discolouration around the fish's lip

the dodgy shaddow line around the dudes hair

one of the spots on the under side of the gill area overlaps the gill and the underbody

the fish's eye has also turned red

not only is this a fake, its a bad one, i have students at school that can do better work than that

good photo but :wink:

its got us talking and thats why people put so much effort into photoshopping :wink:
