this about the biggest ive seen close to darwin and ive fished a fair few days out there. client caught this onboard equinox 2 at bass reef while i was skippering there.

as a cairns fishmonger ive seen some big trout, when they get big they are more shaped like a grouper, biggest ive weighed was 14kg, i have heard of 18kg trout landed this photo does not suprise me.
