Please note that the annual closed season for barramundi along Queensland’s east coast will be in place from midday November 1 until midday February 1, 2007 while the Gulf of Carpentaria closed season finishes at midday January 26 next year, not as previously stated in some media releases that were sent yesterday.

MS as far as i can tell what you say is right as your are not targeting barra but every type of fish. not sure how you would go if a fisheries officer was there as you caght a barra. having said that one would think that if you returned it immediately that it would be ok. You can also then ask what barra????

MS have a flick off the rock wall right at the casino. We caught a metery there about 5 years ago at this time of year.
We where only there for a few days & our rellies would not believe us, no camera, no pliers, no net. Had to get in the water & cuddle it before release.
