Well I basically got told to go fishing last night so I thought I would try out my newly modified lure. I have to admit to copying the lure colors I have read about from Dick who has so much success on the Ord.
Well I reckon they work - thankyou very much Dick!!!
I trolled up this girl in the fresh. I believe she hit my favorite lure first with no hook up before smashing my other rod which was dragging the re-painted "Collingwood" style lure.
Cheers

G'day Roo, I had a quick crack at the freshy's today myself. I tried to time my trip with the Sun warming the water and the time that the turn of the low tide occurred. I had one really solid hook up but lost her while trying to wind in the other rod.
I managed to stir up a few little rats by throwing SP's into the weed bank edges and shallow water but all they would do was nudge the lure. Very pleasant couple of hours though. Water temp was 23-24 degrees.
Also got to listen to the lovely sound of a Minimi or two sending rounds down range at a great rate of fire!! Brought back some old memories.....
Well, unfortnately I've got nothing to report for this mornings effort. Not even a touch.
Bright sunny morning out on the water and I did find a nice gold bomber hanging off a branch like a Christmas decoration, so I guess it wasn't all bad though.....
