Well I managed to sneak out last weekend with my son to see if I could bag him his first wild Barra.

We fished the run in at the Bohle, bait was really scarce but thankfully we weren't staying out for long.

I found a nice pressure point against a big sandbar and deployed the young fella's mullet up against that. 15 minutes later he was on. He did a really good job (even though it was only 54cm) and we had it in the boat in no time.

The smile on his face say's it all. Hopefully this is only the first of many!!
