another shark story...zzzz!

Rumour has it that some FFF members are spearos. It's time to come out of the closet.

another shark story...zzzz!

Post by BarraBeast »

we get asked all the time about sharks around Darwin, most of time when we do see them up close, they smash your fish when your returning to the surface and take the lot.

here's the all time legend of the deep, Rick with chunks removed from a GT by a 12-14ft Hammer. It's one of those times when at least there's a head left and you get to keep your $120 shaft.

There's enough left for soup and and a couple of (human) bites as well. Nothing new of course, but it's just amazing how sharp shark teeth are and how they leave such a such a perfectly clean cut through skin, flesh and bone - couldn't copy that with a filleting knife if you tried!
Cheers,

Ash

Do the sharks only hit the fish because they see it as an easy target instead of the person holding the fish?

Its usually bleeding, and we aren't their natural prey. Know of divers being attacked when dumb enough to hang the fish on their belt.

I pray that one day God sends me a fish so big that, when talking of it...I have no reason to lie.
