My better half caught a 3 foot shark on some processed chicken down the Daly one day. We got hot and bored and tied up under some trees for luch. A 1/0 hook and some processed shyte later, i'm trying to subdue an angey whaler.
Sad thing was, it was the only legal fish we caught for the trip.

I've used boiled eggs and yabby tails pickled in vinegar and chilli on cod in the Murray and the Broken Rivers. Caught a Powertail on a kalamata olive last year......no pip of course

We also used magots refered to as gents in SA for gar and tommies. There was an old greek fella who was a fishing machine if he was at the jetty you were sure to get a feed, he use to have 5 or 6 gents pinched in his lips so when he landed a fish they were there ready to put straight on the hook. This guy would get dozens of gars in a session.

Milky Murderer that has to be the weirdest bait Ive heard of yet, but in times of need, EXTREME measures sometimes need to be taken . Do,nt forget the bait when you go jewwie fishing or you might have to cut something a bit bigger off

Never actually put it on a hook but quite often when i was runnin the Equinox 2 we would throw lunch over the side then over the next 15 to 20 min would get jew, goldies, or cod coming up and when they hit the deck would throw up ham, cheese, chicken bones or potato salad!!
So if ya ever get desperate........

Just remembered too after reading 2rods post that i had a mate that was runnin a trap boat out the box and of a night that used to throw stuff in a spare trap and hang it out the back. Reckons that an open Vegimite jar did the trick for a few Goldband!! A true Aussie allrounder!!!
