Pleasing the Southeners : Northern Reef & Pelagic Fishing

Family are up and they want to catch a fish.
So took them out past 6 mile bouy for a few hours today.

Landed on some reef and in goes the lines. I start catching reef fish but their baits were not getting touched.
They start giving me the evils :twisted:

as though I'm not telling them something.

Then it dawns on me. They covered their white bodies with suntan cream and then put their baits on.

So after some hand washing and fresh baits the fish start coming over the side.
Trevelly, cod, red snapper, blue bone, stripies and the mandatory shark . Being Victorians they were more rapt with the shark than blue bone :-?

???

Good day fishing , happy southeners, they are rapt about the variety of fish you catch and more importantly they think I'm GOD, even cleaned the boat for me while I sat back and had a beer.

Spot on with the suntan cream. Never spray your reel with CRC just watch what that does on someone else's fishing technique.

Those southerners will do anything for a decent fish.

Not sure what u mean by this Jack :-?

I CRC (or INOX to be more precise :wink:

) ALL my reels and have been forever - no discernible difference in 'bite rate' to me :grin:
