fishing emery point larrakeya : NT Bluewater

HI just wondering is anyone has done any good fishing off larakeya rock wall and inbetween there and emery point with reefies bottom bouncing latley? like were the bottom drops off and it gets to about 30m deep? just sussing out as loking at hiring a boat for sundays neaps and hitting their and just wanna know if im wasting my time

I've fished there a few times, mostly at night though. i heard you can't anchor around that area during the day???
Just sound around for some good lumps, plenty around there.
Usually get a few snappers and other reefies..got a 8kg jewie there one night!

Yeah mainly just fresh squid and pilchards

You are not supposed to anchor anywhere around that general area day or night (see signs at top of rock wall), it is a Naval Base BUT in my experience they dont worry too much as long as you dont park up near the entry. :banghead:

Ya dont want to get run over a by a patrol boat. :mrgreen:

A bloke i work with fishes it quite a bit and does pretty good on the reefies and pelagics..

i fish there a fair bit and have been getting some really nice fish. even got a 63cm coral trout the other day

I find it fishes a lot better on spring tides!!!! That's working soft plastics.
