Caught a bunch of these up a freshwater creek, what are they?

They make pretty good live bait for barra. Their unique grunting helps barra locate them (well that's my theory). better as a bottom bait whereas tarpon is my floater bait. That's when I'm being picky and have both.

Cheers. They are aggressive little fish, no matter what size they are, they have a go at a lure!

Used them for live bait before, worked well. I know a spot were it only take one throw and you have a days worth easy. Near the Daly.

Spangled perch - great live bait, will stay live on a hook alot longer than a tarpon
