Well two weeks ago my boss invited me out on his boat to go to corobboree billabong, a place i had never been before and didnt know what to expect.
as i arrived around 5 am, a little under the weather and completely un prepared, forgetting my hat, fishing shirt water and sunnies. i noticed something i did not wish to see a 3m croc sitting at the boat ramp. if this did not have me a little scared already as id never seen a wild croc before the other 3 we saw on the way to our fishing spot pretty much empied the restof my bowels.

then the engine died and we started to drift across some lillys and weeds, the boss said there are fish everywhere here. i had no idea what to do as id never fished for creatures in such waters before but i had a purple and grey squidy on and flicked it out on my 2-4 kg rod and quantum baitcaster, reeled in and then nothing.... second cast. reeling in and whack something had attached itself to that lure and was not letting go, after a brief struggle it was in the net measuring in at ..... 78 cm. there i had it..... my FIRST......Saratoga!

None the less it still had me wanting more, more urge to catch these beasts on fish everyone crazes about up here, about another hour had passed with nothing being landed except some green weed and a few lillys. but then it happened again, and this time it was a barra for sure, jumping out of the water once or twice before finding itself in a net being pulled onto the boat, There it was my first ever barra and a legal one too 58cm, i also noticed at that time my fear of crocs had slightly windled away.

anyway enough of my story time heres the photo

cheers guys, that was my only keeper for that day, was out last weekend also and bagged out within a couple hours of getting there, biggest went 65 that day with a 89 toga, also with no crocs in boat, hopefully can get one more trip out before its too wet, very beautiful place though i am a little in love with corrobborree and catching barra there, i mean they are not the best fighters not the best tasters but for some reason i have a hell of a lot of fun

How big are peoples biggest Togas, the biggest to hit my dick has been a 71cm which was impressive, but not many have hit my deck, and the 71cm was my brother in laws. I would have thought a 70 something Toga was a good Toga, but an 89cm is a stonker

Biggest toga would have gone 85 (guess) years ago from yelllow waters

found a pic of a toga from there, not sure if it is the 89 cause we caught a few of em that day, but it certainly isnt small, also will find my mates toga pic he got a decent one too
