Hardies, Easter Sunday. : Freshwater Fishing Trip Reports

The Missus and I did a morning trip to Hardies yesterday, leisurely start, on the water by 8. Went straight to a favourite little creek which had a nice colour change around it, the colour was being pushed around by the wind. Got a 78 third cast followed by a few rats. Had a look up on the floodplain, no clean water anywhere trolled and cast a few channels for zip. Back in the main basin the Missus trolled while I cast Zman's at everything, nothing but a few minor taps. Went back to the little creek and immediately into them again, nothing bigger than the earlier 78. Zman's and Mongrel's doing the amage. We were off the water and at Corroborree Park for a beer by 2pm.

Water is still flowing.
Road in is fine although you would probably need 4WD or a long run-up as the sandy section is now quite deep and long.

We did the same thing Saturday and had another crack today. More to get some boat hours under the belt for my young fella than a serious fish. Gone are the days of putting him in a basket on the floor and finding him where you left him, he's a bit more mobile now but lovin every minute of it :captain:

Only fished 4 hours sessions and managed one fish each day, both from the same area you fished. Might have to take your tip on the safety for the Bogas, mine went MIA stuck on the lips of Saturdays fish......................... :bonk:
