Went out last night on the full moon, I do this every year from Sept to Dec. By then the storms are too frequent, make fishing a bit wet. They are fixing up the road in, a 1/4 is already tared, the next 1/4 up to the right hand turn will be in the next few weeks with a solid road base in place.
Had the billabong to our selves, slow pickings for the first few hours, no wind, water temp 25 C, lots of knocks mostly tarpon, boated 5 of them, just little fellows. Only barra caught was this 78cm, good solid fish. Look forward to the water temp increasing. Who said it doesn't get cold in Darwin. The ride back to the boat ramp was freezing, they said it was 9 C at Middle point and I believe it.

Nice fish. You only fish full moons at Corrob?
Im still strying to figure out what moons are best. I fished last Thurs and Friday nights at another billlabong. Did better the second night when the clouds covered the moon. Whether thats the reason I dont know....

Heading out there and hiring a house boat with 5 females ( one being my wife ) in a couple of weeks. Going to borrow or hire a tinny. I have only been there once bout 12 years ago. Hoping for some popper action. 1 question- why do people go on about the full moon? I only have luck on dark nights in the salt and its usually dead as on bright nights

How do you go with all the phosphoresence in the water on the dark nights in salt water? I cant get a thing on a lure while that is around.
I have found the fresh water seems to fire up on the full moons trolling shallow diving minnows especially in the white colours or the black and silver. It fishes even better when the moon is partly covered in cloud from what I have found.

Cuddles- I have done OK when theres only a bit of phosphoresence in the water but no good when theres alot. In march theres a bit of fresh run off still and that seems to keep it at bay- mainly fish Buff and Rapid ,not pure clear salt water.
