anyone had any luck using small freshwatercrabs as live bait. i normally get lots of perch but lately have been getting traps full of the smallcrabs. people have told me they work alright but has anyone actually got a decent amount of fish on them

I havnt used them,but I,ve caught Jewies with them in their guts plenty of times.
Also used to fish eastpt years ago and a bloke I fished with always had a couple on hand lines for tusk fish,,he did very well.

I've got a few barra in the adelaide that have coughed up little crabs
