Me my wife and son took a trip out to corroborree, I've always caught fish there and thought yesterday was gona be no different, boy was I wrong, didn't matter what I threw at the barra they wouldn't take it.. Did anyone else have this problem??

Wasn't it like 18 deg yesterday. Too cold too quick for barra.

well we went out this weekend and caught 3 small barra, 2 over 55 and a good run from a toga and all we were flicking was bombers. :fishing:

geez Gari u know youve gotta be doing something right when you have to put up a post because you didnt get a barra lol!! Too funny!! Most of us mortals would be writing "again" on the end of the post!!

I thnk around this time of year they go on and off a bit with temp before shutting down till the buildup...

If this dry is the same as the last it will be a cracking barra season. The harbor fish chewed all dry season last year. Our dry season was twice as succesful as our build up and run off. Personally don't think the cold bothers them all that much. I mean they still have to eat and they still get them in the dams over in QLD which is much colder then here.

MRB is right just a smaller window in the cold than the warmer months. As always time on the water will eventually get results. I have to believe that as I cant even catch a cold ATM.

Fish the shallows they still have to eat just keep casting you have to almost hit them to get a strike on really cold days
