The new Halco Hammer

Post by Matt Flynn »

HALCO PRESS RELEASE
******************

It’s that time of your when the boys at Halco show off what they have been working on for
the last twelve months. Obviously they have been pretty busy as they announce the
arrival of their new, hard as nails casting minnow - Hamma.
The Halco Hamma is at the new frontier of lure technology. It is a clear-bodied,
suspending casting lure supplied with two, easily interchangeable bibs with running
depths of 1m and 3m respectively. It is purpose built to give maximum flexibility in one
easy to fish package.
The Hamma was designed from the ground up to tackle some of the world’s toughest and
most iconic sportfish such as Barramundi, Black Bass, Mangrove Jack, Tigerfish and
Tarpon.
It features an incredibly realistic baitfish profile, with a specially designed weight
transfer system for great casting ability. The super sharp, 5 extra strong Mustad trebles
are included for maximum holding potential when using today’s modern braided line
technology, and includes as always Halco’s famous heavy duty fish rings.
In the water the Hamma’s deeper bib has a marvellously enticing, tight swimming action
with a subtle phase shift mid-cycle that can be used to easily mimic a wounded bait fish.
The shallow bib however is purpose built for highly erratic twitch retrieves and suspends
during the pause for maximum hook up potential on highly territorial, aggressive species.
The highly detailed scale pattern and holographic finish are all internal of the lure for
optimal durability and the ultra smooth outer surface ensure toothy critters can’t get a
decent hold on the lure helping the hook set on the strike.
The lure weighs 28g, is 123mm long and will be available in seven unbelievable new
colours. Look out for Hamma, it will be available at all good tackle stores.
Halco have also introduced some new clear lures to compliment the R33 Jelly Prawn that
made a splash in the market last year. There is a new purple backed clear body called
R34 Purple Haze, a new red headed clear called R35 Caviar and a brown backed yellow
belly clear called R36 Gravy Train.
They all look sensational are sure to be a big hit this season.
These new clear colours are available in a wide selection of Halco’s smaller Scorpions,
Laser Pros and Poltergeists.
Also new this year is a wide selection of quality new terminal tackle products. Sourced
exclusively by Halco, the range includes stainless steel tournament ball bearing swivels
with and without tournament snaps, brass ball bearing swivels with snaps and Halco’s
famous rolling swivels, with and without coastlock snaps.
Also ranged are aluminium crimp sleeves to suit Halco’s wind on game leaders introduced
last year as well as very competitively priced solid stainless rings that are used in
many rigging processes.
