I'm heading out to manton dam with a few other mates next week end and was wondering if anyone had any tips for the dam. Will only be there during the day from about 9-5 so won't be night fishing. I'll try live bait with red claw if I can get any.
Thanks in advance

Re: Day trip to manton
Rock point about half way between ramp and dam wall is always worth a troll.
Otherwise, turn left at ramp into the channel and you'll find two rock points at the end, always worth a cast around there.
Barra also will sometimes be out in open water feeding, unlikely in middle of day tho.
Toga are much more reliable in Manton, they are good in the mornings, casting around the lily pads.
Shane at Tackle World Coolalinga goes there a bit and is willing to share Manton tips, perhaps drop in on the way out and ask him for some good oil.
