I used one couple weeks ago at the daly, then removed it from the tackle box on the weekend, used it, and it swam to the left on its side. On closer inspection of the bib, I see it is has twisted, which i can only guess is from the suns heat. Will try and heat it to bring it back straight but def. wot be buying anymore. Anyone else experienced this problem?

Nope not off bigglen. Only issues I had with them was that I did not upgrade the hooks and I lost the biggest thready I have ever hooked. But replaced the hooks and have caught an average of two baz each trip on the gold and Black x rap style one. Why are you leaving lures in the sun anyway?

Just changed the hooks on a few dozen rapala xrap 10's to VMC 6x size 4 hooks with 3H shogun split rings. You blokes reckon they'll hold a fish alright? Cheers

Def not money to burn max. Just can't see the point of getting nice tackle, braid and lures only to skimp on hooks.
Mate the hooks they come with are cr.p, you shouldn't have any issue's with what you pull on. The only hooks and rings I don't replace are reidy's and classic's.

That's what I've heard Ben jam. I swapped them straight out as soon as I got the lures. I dont get a chance to fish for barra, if ever, so i dont want a hook to be my undoing lol

Hey mungoman_c, - I've bought a heap of bombers from tackle warehouse during the past year or so. The suspending ones are awesome for the small and medium barra in the culverts but the hooks and split rings need upgrading for bigger fish. Upgraded a few to VMC hooks with owner split rings and took them to flickingfresh. Results were fish 3 bombers nil, as all 3 were destroyed by the hooks being pulled out of the lure body. Locally bought bomber models are beefed up but the US models are too good not to use so I catch some and lose some. The VMC hooks are heavier than teh factory fitted ones so the suspending action is altered and not as good IMO.
