Pre Shady Camp nightmare

Me and the brother inlaw were getting the boat ready for this weekends shady camp trip this arvo. I was hooking up the spotties when Brad I hear say OH NOOOO! Interested in what he is on about, I take a look and he has a box of my lures open and I notice that a few lures look deformed. Any way long story short. Classics, Scorpions, Riedys, 2 deadlys…… all stuffed. 24 lures in all and all but one of my "go to" lures. FAAAAAARRRRRRRRRKKKKKK

Anyone know if I can claim on insurance? Around $400 bucks worth

Bummer.!
I can claim that on my policy under the boats accessories, but the excess wouldnt make it worth it.

How did they deform??

I have had it happen in clear tackle box left in direct sunlight
Always store in the shade or a bag now
I didn't lose that many tho

Dam would not be happy......Had a tube of Rid in a tackle box once leaked melted all soft plastis and peeled the paint off all the hard bodys looked at it then put it in the bin and went shopping

Yeah not worth the ins claim. As well as the excess, your premium will go up next year as well

yeah they hate the sun alright, ive had them blow up like a balloon and bend ! Just leave a old one on the dash of your car for the day and see what happens..

The worst ones were Riedys and Classics. The Riedys ballooned out of shape and the classics just mented like a coke bottle over heat.
I threw them all out so I dont have any pics.
