Hey Nomad...we used them all the time for rainbows in NZ. 'Cept we called them Cobras.....this is going back 40 years mind so this is a lure with history!! They were my fave lure next to a Mrs Simpson fly or a Mallard.

Tried to use a TD here after a trip to Tas. Got 1 hook up and broke it in half, never saw what hit it. They make a big metal jobbie I saw in a shop there which would prob be ok for blue water.

Ive often thought of poking a good sized wire trace thru the guts attached to a big treble. Im sure they would work Doesnt matter if they get smashed, other lures get sashed as well Mmmm new task . add that to the 25 pages of 'to do' items so far

Now after reading that I want to try one of them around here... Is that a lure that you can retrieve fast or does it need a rather slow reels in?

Lucky to be the owner of such interesting lures. Oh, and to get to eat that delicous freddo as well!
The Freddo lure is easy to get, it is one of the colours of the Tassie Devil lures. So As soon as I learned about it, I ordered one in each size online. It represent a lot of the things I like: Fishing and chocolate! So yes I did eat the chocolate after the picture... Just to make sure it was not wasted...
