Saw a bloke in the Classic with a Guns & Roses Polt, reckons he got them around town.........I can't find them anywhere. Anyone seen them in their tackle shop travels????????

I echo blinky's reply. I'm pretty certain I can attribute every single scoring point of mine from this years barra classic to a polt.
Just like any lure though, you have to be confident in what you're using. Plenty of people catch far more barra than me on other lures, so clearly it's not 100% a lure choice thing.
A good lure to drag through the timber as it has a huge bib and backs up well. Also a good lur to get down deep and dredge the bottom with. The depth of the dive to the lure size is the key I reckon. One of only a couple of small lures that get that deep.

I usually troll a long line, like into last week long, but if you shorten up you can drag a Polt though 2 m of water no problems and get results to boot. You can work them through a metre of water if you're casting. I consider the Polt to be one of the most versitile lures.

They also make a 3 metre version about 50mm long plus they make a 50mm x 8 metre version (the bib is about 3 times the length of the lure body. Looks strange).
The 3 metre ones are extremely good if fitted with Owner trebles.

There they go! I must hurry after them - for I am their leader
would the front hook be better off being sideways (if ya know what I mean) you can get hooks with the eyes facing opposite,(starting to confuse myself now)
