With the overwhelming popularity of the classic lures i was wondering if anyone still has some classics 10+, minus the rattle?
I only have one left and it is almost paintless and worn back to the white plastic i have caught so many fish on this when other parties in the boat are working the same lure (with rattle), same depth and they have caught half as many as compaired to the lure without the rattle.
Im surprised you cant buy them new without the rattle.
Any thoughts?

Maybe its time for you to get onto Rob Gaiden and see if he will make some for ya. It worked for your brother getting the custom painted Reidys.

You'll only get them from lawn sales or generous anglers..........Rob Gaden has'nt made them for a long, long time, Bassyer Millyard is the manufacturer now. The old ones were foam injection moulded, the ones now are hollow plastic.
Just drill a small hole in them and put some 5 mn Araldite in, that will stop the rattling, but you won't get the same action or the bouyancy of the old version.
I have been chasing the "foamys" for a while now..........they are as rare as rockin' horse shite!

I too have looked for them. Can never find them. Reason I wanted some was because think the classic rattles are too loud. I can hear some Of my classics rattling when they are under water and inam 10th away winding them in to the boat.

That's the way to do it, drill em out and glue em back up. I like to use 5 min Araldite, I also fill them with two part foam before gluing.
