Chris Hurt made the Mack Magnets, and Graeme Forrester made G-Lures, both a great range of timber lures.

Hi Dogtooth,

Some nice lures there.

The first Reidy's is a Taipan, from what I see, I would say it is the deep one.
It is an interesting one because the eyes are different today,The bib too I believe but I am not sure, as well as the Reidy's logo is not put on the lure in the same way as it is on this one.
The second Reidy's seems to be a Goulburn Jack (A deep diver to around 5meters), and once again, the eyes and the logo are not the same as the ones they do today.
And it is in a colour I had not seen yet.

And the Killalure Barrabait are nice too.

Thanks for showing these.

Have a good day,
Pecheur

P.S: Take what I wrote about the reidy's with a grain of salt, as I am no expert, so I could be totally wrong, and that would not be the first time...

P.S.2: If you are interested, let me know, and I could show you some Reidy's lures of mine next time that you will be in Darwin.
Or you can even go and visit the Reidy's factory, it is in the suburb of Darwin.

Oh well, these Reidy's were bought in early 1990's. I think that's way before Reidy's change hands to the current owner. That explains the slightly different eye shape.

Does that mean it is now a Collector's item ?

Jeff & Cheryl sold the lure business to current owners Col & Karen in 2007.....

Pecheur is on the money there , Taipan and Goulburn Jack

Not sure about collectors item??

Added Note: Lures seem to be designed to catch fisherman/women more than fish

Damo :D

Hi Dogtooth,

I would say that yes they start to enter the realm of collector items.
Not at the top of the list yet, but any lure that is around twenty year old and in very good condition could start to be of interest.
But I would not see them as a retirement fund yet.

Have a good day,
Pecheur
