Hi Blinky,
The floppy that I have is a hard one, not the soft one. They are very interesting lures. The hooks on them are doubles not treble, a bit like on the shimano waxwings but smaller.

ive got a few 'french rubber' jobbies, but dunno about the cods liking them.. They're defiiitely floppy tho they tend to get hard with use....

The blue Rapala was a legendary lure. We used to troll them in the Finness when old man Sweetheart has still kicking, although I was younger then.
I remember the barra we had caught in the bottom of the 12 footer.
Rum.
Rum You must have been out in the finness with my old man he tells storeys of fishing in a canadian canoe and seeing a bow wave coming down the river from old sweat heart back in the early 70s

And you should not! They are very nice lures from the past. And yes I know that they are French... Typical of the French to do something called a floppy...
Not long ago I saw a photo of an absolute replica of of a floppy, made of wood. A guy who liked them so much that he caved one...

Ponyplay, lucky you picked up on your comment and clarified it. Otherwise who knows how many door knockers you would have got, all to go "fishing" with you.
Looking forward to some more NW WA posts from you this year.
