I've been fishing in Darwin for about 3 weeks now with not a lot of luck, but today on Channel Island at around 7pm I got hooked on to a nice Queenfish, approx 50cm. Good feeling finally getting a decent fish up here, it's a bit different from Victoria fishing haha.

He came up from Melbourne a few weeks back. I realise this pic is from a boat but we get them landbased off the rocks on metal slices, stickbaits and drifting livies on ballons out there too...

65lb minimum , good drags skill n a healthy dose of good luck.

Barra off the northern beach a few days ago on white rapala x rap 12 cm

Biiger ones off this section at night on poppers but a bit flighty don't light them up with yr headlamp untill you get them on.
