Quick flick Kids not happy : Landbased Fishing

Been out doing the culvert run the last few nights with the kids to no avail.Decided to leave them at home tonight and have a quick flick on the way home from work, banged a beauty water was running hard he put up a great arial fight heading for the trees got him out and had to dodge the cars zinging past.
Got home to a very unhappy boy :evil:

Dont know what got the heart pumping more the fish or the dodging the cars
On a promis to take him out tomorrow

Woah, that was a bit harsh (depending how old he is - if he's a cocky teenager then it's probably worth it!); not sure that would be in the parenting 101 syllabus though!!

My 4 yo is my little good luck charm - I usually get nada if he is not with me!

Re dodging cars, no fish is worth getting bowled over for. The cars will win everytime
