I see people fishing there all the time. I really don't care most the time, because most people fish the other side of the pontoon but sometimes there areidiots who just sit there soaking baits with four frigging rods per person over the ramp. No sorry mate I'll get out of your way. There are heaps of good land base to fish with out being a rude pr..k. At the end of the day it's a boat ramp first and if people want to fish there they can clean up after themselfs and move when a boat comes in. They seem to be the same people who park either just up the top where the turn around part is or even on the ramp it self. All I ask is for a bit of common sence that's all.

When it gets busy there is no room for fishing there. Its designed for people to tie their boats up to both sides while they use the ramp facilities. Its not a fishing pontoon. I had a bloke giving me death stares because he had to pull his 5 handlines in so I could use the ramp. Im sure if you were just casually flicking a lure around in the quiet times no-one would care, but when people set up like they are camping there for a week it doesnt work. Better fishing off the rocks down there anyway.

Most people ive seen there will reel in their lines when they see someone coming. BUT others wont. Re other landbased areas, try behind the coop on the wharf.

Ahhh it's obviously a misprint....just white out the "NO" and it's fixed. But no seriously some of the fishos that fish off the pontoons do some stupid things like light fires on them, have multiple rods out even when you are pulling in close with your boat and so on. But overall I suppose we cant all own boats, some of us have to stay on shore

agree with sentiments above.. it would be nice if fisheries officers patrolled the ramps on weekends (when they are at their busiest) several times when i have been launching or retrieving my 5m boat by myself i have been given a hard time by pontoon fisher people.. they just sit there.. several lines in the water and expect me to manoeuvre the 5m boat around them.
buy a blow up dinghy and go 10 yards off the pontoon or move out the way when boats are around at least.

I have had the opposite when launching there alone, have had people fishing there come give me a hand if it's been a bit windy and what not, can't say it bothers me people fishing their, however it comes down to common sense and courtesy, which unfortunately a lot of people seem to lack. And that goes for both Boaties and land based fisho's.. Fished a fair few landbased spots (no where near a boat ramp) and had wankers in boats fang past while you are in plain view of them soaking baits or flicking lures.. how about a bit of respect for your fellow fishermen..
