Hey all went out for a look around friday night at some culverts and my young fella tagged along. Decided to go down to tortilla and work our way back.Found the adelaide river at 1.2m over the crossing and the drain b4 there pumpin but not high enough yet.The other main culvert there was just under the road and looked good but no bait around, had a flick here for a bit for no luck,no boofing and only seen a small croc sittin there watchin us.Left there and pulled into manton for a look to find it packed out.Stopped for a look but it was a bit low and no one had caught anything that i was told.So we went around to the bridge and seen 2 decent size bara cruisin around, had a flick here but no hook ups.Did notice a fairly good flow comin down from the wall so must be just comin over.Went to a couple of culverts around berry springs area and found hopewell rd culvert was the pick of the lot.Stayed here for a bit as we were gettin some small hits from rats then finally in the darkness i hear the young fella scream YEP YEP IM ON,all i could do is laugh as i could here the line bein stripped from the reel, culvert fish r good at usin the current.Heard it jump a couple of times then in it came bein a clean 60cm bazza, got a couple of pics n chucked him back.Boy was very happy Had to leave soon after that as it started to p..s down and the water got dirty.Decide to call in to girraween culvert as it was up,managed a rat bazza here and seen a few swimmin around so ther on the move there.Decided to call it a night and headed home.

Good effort, Fished the Hopewell Culvert last year when it first filled up. Didnt land anything but i did see a few Barra come up under the soft plastice. Just watching it waiting. but couldnt entice the strike. still its abit of fun.
